A Growing Partnership

Murdoch's and 4-H - a growing partnership in support of kids and the community! Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply is working together with local 4-H youth in all of our markets, to assist them in "learning by doing," and interacting with the public. One of the greatest gifts that adults can give youth is a safe environment to learn in, and Murdoch's is proud to be a part of that environment.

Since April of 2005, Murdoch's has provided 4-H clubs with a yearlong list of opportunities to raise funds and have a little fun at our stores. As a forum for events, Murdoch's increases 4-H visibility to the public and offers clubs a safe place to hold clinics, exhibits and fundraisers.

Murdoch's has been committed to an ongoing relationship with 4-H in Montana, Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska since our inception. Murdoch’s provides financial support through state 4-H Foundations, scholarships, and events which raise thousands of dollars for local clubs.

Where can I get a 4-H discount card?
You can get your 4-H discount card from your Extension Agent or by coming into your local Murdoch’s and showing the Manager of the store your 4-H ID card. Please remember we are offering one card for each 4-H participant.

What happens if I lose my 4-H discount card?
If you lose your 4-H discount card, you may talk with your Extension Agent about getting a replacement card.

What do volunteers need to do for events hosted at Murdoch’s?
Click here to download the "checklist." Once you have reviewed the form, please be sure to check in with your store contact to make sure they do not need you to do anything else before the event date arrives.

What if I have additional questions?
If you need more information you have two options: you can call your Extension Agent or email ad@murdochs.com.


Please check in with your Extension Agent to get more event details. Not every 4-H group is involved in each event that occurs at Murdoch’s.

Today, 4-H involves more than 6.5 million young people. These people are from the city, suburbs, rural areas, farms, and everywhere inbetween. Staff members and volunteers educate 4-H and non 4-H youth through day camps, special interest programs, school enrichment, overnight camping, and the traditional 4-H clubs. 4-H youth development helps youth acquire the necessary life skills to meet the challenges faced during adolescence and adulthood, through a coordinated, progressive series of experiences that helps them to become socially, morally, emotionally, and physically competent.

4-H youth are more likely than others to report that they:

• succeed in school, getting more A's than other youth,
• are involved as leaders in their school and the community,
• are looked up to as role models by other youth, and
• help others in their community.
