Experience the OLD West Put on your hats & coats, mittens & boots and join us for the 10th Annual WinterFest with these events and more: 1840’s Western Rendezvous Encampment with activities and demonstrations, The Montana Heritage Commission 1860’s Living History with Historic Interpreters and interactive exhibits, blacksmith contest, Bootleggers Ball with music by The Dirty Shame, All Breed Horse Sale, Battle of the Trail Horse, Chili Cook-off, Paws & People, Bridger Feeds Dog Keg Pull, Hockey Tournament, Old McLien’s Farm Barn, Petting Zoo, Quilt Show, Western Regional Ski Joring, Sweetheart Fur & Feather Show, and Working Horse & Driver Competition. And, as always, there will be plenty of food at the food vendor booths, music and other western entertainment, and fun things to buy at the commercial exhibitor booths! This year’s entertainment includes Hypnotist Michael Mezmer, Young Guns Wild West Fun Park, Kids Pedal Power Tractor Pulls, All Aboard Train, Bozeman Roundup Ranch Rodeo, Mountaineers 4x4 Mud Bog, FFA Mutton Bustin’, Double D Pig Wrestling and the ever-popular North Star Amusement’s Carnival with more being planned.
Anyone can enter the Open Class Exhibits in Arts & Crafts, Gardening, Flowers, Foods, Needlework, Photography, Group Projects, Poultry and Livestock.
Special competitive events include the Super Grasshopper Contest, Ranch Horse Contest, Dog Agility Contest, Doxie Derby Races, Dog Dock Diving Contest and Gallatin County 4-H Exhibits.
There are additional charges for the Mutton Bustin/Pig Wrestling, Mud Bog and Bozeman Roundup Rodeo. Located at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in Bozeman, Montana.
