The pet food recall you’ve heard about only applies to WET FOOD for cats and dogs. NO other pet food including dry or prescription foods is affected by this recall.
This recall is a precautionary recall by a national pet food manufacturer, Menu Foods Inc.
The recall applies to “Cuts and Gravy” style pet food in cans and pouches.
The national brands of wet/canned and pouch pet foods affected, and that Murdoch’s carries are: Nutro, Science Diet, Iams, and Eukanuba
Murdoch’s is in the process of checking all affected, in stock, wet cat and dog food SKU’s on our shelves to protect our customers, and will have all affected product pulled by the end of the business day Monday, March 19th.
Murdoch’s will take back any wet pet food a customer wishes to return and that is affected by this recall.

Murdoch's Expanding and Remodeling - Business Growth Provides More Floor Space

Montrose, Colo. — Customers and drivers may have noticed rearranging and remodeling happening at Murdoch's Ranch and Home Supply. "Montrose is growing and so is this type of business," assistant manager Danene Barberousse said.
The business started renovations in August, adding 2,300 square feet to the southeast corner. The new added floor space houses the dog food and other feed supplies. Barberousse said before they were using the space for feed storage, but now they save time by not having to stock twice . . .

John Murdoch has nearly as many grandchildren as he has retail stores. Since "retiring" 11 years ago, his family and his chain of Murdoch's Ranch and Home Supply stores has steadily grown.
After selling a smaller business in Idaho similar to the one he currently owns, Murdoch never settled into the non-working life. It lasted three months. "I got bored with that," he said with a laugh that comes easy and often. So in July of 1994, he opened the first Murdoch's (then called Big R Ranch and Supply) on North 7th Avenue near the Villard Street intersection in Bozeman
Today there are 13 Murdoch's in four states. . .
BOZEMAN, Mont. – Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply (Murdoch’s) is pleased to announce nearly doubling the amount of money they raised during their 2005 in-store paper sneaker campaign for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Last year Murdoch’s raised $4,000.00 and committed to doing even more this year by challenging their employees to sell as many sneakers as possible. The challenge was a success and Murdoch’s was able to raise $7,887.00!

SCOTTSBLUFF, NE, April 2005 - The final preparations were made Tuesday for the "soft opening" today of Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply store. The store is located in the former Sun Mart site at 1510 E. 20th St. in Scottsbluff.
Store Manager Kenny Fixmer said 32 local residents were hired from the more than 350 interviews conducted...A grand opening week is planned for April 18-22 and a ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for April 22 followed by a special event from 4 to 6 p.m.
