- Assisting kids and families, especially those with a demonstrated need or seeking education on ag-related topics.
- Furthering the good work of 4H and FFA.
- Enhancing lives of pets and their owners, especially through adoption centers and pet-related events.
- Continuing the western tradition of local fairs and rodeos.

- Murdoch’s Community Service initiative allows every fulltime employee 8 hours of paid volunteer time each year;
- Hosting events in our stores, like bake sales and car washes;
- Sponsorship of events for organizations that meet our guidelines above; and

We’re glad you asked. Murdoch’s is also a big 4-H and FFA supporter. Here’s how we deliver that support:
4-H
Murdoch’s provides a discount card to all active 4-H members to use towards in-store purchases for project materials and show supplies. Members can get a 4-H card directly from any Murdoch’s store. Murdoch’s also provides financial and in-kind support to 4-H Foundations, Extension Offices and clubs. Each year, students can apply for Murdoch’s College Scholarships through the Texas, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska 4-H Foundations. In addition, each Murdoch’s location proudly hosts fun-filled events, activities and fundraisers. See your local stores for more information on available opportunities.
Ready to get involved? Extension offices and clubs may submit an Application for Support for requests of $500 and above for special events, club projects or other programming. Applications are then reviewed & approved through Murdoch’s Home Office. Please visit www.murdochs.com/news/4H/request to complete an Application for Support. Clubs may also request funding below $500 (store product and/or cash) directly from their local store manager; this includes fundraising partnerships such as Cookouts and Christmas gift wrapping.
FFA
Murdoch’s is proud to partner with FFA and support the FFA students who dedicate their time and energy to projects that strengthen their communities, schools, and families. We know how much time, dedication, and hard work goes into every project, and we believe that each and every project makes an impact and plays a vital role in keeping our agricultural communities strong and vibrant.
Murdoch’s is proud to offer a 10% discount on numerous products for your FFA projects. To get a discount card, just let the cashier know that you’re an active FFA member and that you are interested in an FFA Discount Card. The cashier will get you set up!
When you use your discount card, Murdoch’s will allocate funds to your FFA State Foundation. We donate funds every year to Texas, Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, and Wyoming. We allocate dollars based on the number of times a card is scanned and the transaction totals. Each time you use your FFA Discount Card on a qualifying purchase, you are helping your state earn financial support! While you save, we also give.
We believe that FFA prepares students for higher learning, and Murdoch’s scholarships are intended to help promising students further their education. Scholarships are currently available for all FFA members in Texas, Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, and Wyoming. We are working on creating scholarship opportunities for our Idaho FFA members as well.
