Description

A sweetly scented alyssum covered with tiny, rose-pink flowers in mini-rosettes. Perfect for continuous color in rock gardens, rock walls, along a garden path, or spilling from your favorite containers. Edible flowers have a mild, grassy/mustardy flavor; the clusters make a charming garnish to salads and desserts. A 1961 All-America Selections award winner.

Features

  • Sweetly scented beauty brightens the garden with a carpet of rosy, pink blossoms. Wonderful in containers or as a cheery border.
  • Perennial in USDA zones 5 and warmer; often grown as an annual as it gets leggy in its second year.
  • When to sow inside, 4 to 6 weeks before your average last frost date.
  • 15 days to emerge
  • Space a pinch of 20-30 seeds every 6"
  • When to sow outside, 1 to 2 weeks before your average last frost date, and when soil temperature is 60 degrees F. in mild climates fall sowing for winter bloom is recommended.
