ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Description

‘Prolific’ Kiwi is a flavorful cultivar with smooth skin, so there is no need to peel them, unlike the fuzzy variety! This self-pollinating kiwi vine may be used as a pollinator for other female cultivars. It has a reddish-violet blush on the skin and flesh when ripe. The fruit may vary in size but is similar to several varieties of grapes. 'Prolific' is more cold tolerant than other species and is mainly grown in colder areas, where temperatures can range from 10°F to -18°F.

Planting Instructions
May be planted in any well-drained soil. Dig a hole large enough to encompass the roots without bending or circling. Set the plant in place so the crown (part of the plant where the root meets the stem) is about 1–2" below the soil surface. Cover with soil to the original soil surface. Water thoroughly.
