It diverts lightning's energy from the fence to the ground, protecting the energizer and leaving your fences running properly. It's easily adjustable to work with any energizer, and each unit can withstand multiple lightning strikes, although if you live in an area where lightning strikes are a major problem you may want to consider using multiple diverters on a fence line.
