Tuned to an ancient pentatonic scale, this stunning decorative chime evokes the beauty of gold, the most precious and coveted element on earth. The meaning of the name gold is unknown, although its origins are Anglo-Saxon. This soft, shiny yellow metal has been used and highly valued for thousands of years. Gold can be deposited in many ways, but gold veins were a miner's dream, when gold mines were exploited during the gold rushes of the 19th century. Gold is often used as money and is the standard for monetary systems around the world. Nothing is more beautiful than fine gold jewelry. The symbol for gold, Au, comes from the Latin word for gold, “aurum.” UV is a versatile printing process that combines ultra-violet light and special inks. This unique technique allows us to print intricate designs and textures on a variety of materials. Woodstock is currently printing exclusive color designs on wood, aluminum, acrylic, and glass.
