ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Description

The LifeStraw is a water filtering straw that filters out 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria including E. coli and salmonella and 99.9% of waterborne protozoa including Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Due to its compact size (9" in length by 1" in diameter) and light weight (2 ounces), this water filter is ideal for backpacking, camping, travel, and even emergency preparedness.

LifeStraw lets you filter up to 264 gallons (1,000 liters) of water. This means if you use this filter every day for all of your drinking water, it will last approximately one year! This handy water filter needs no power, batteries, or replacement parts, and is BPA and chemical free. Its raw materials meet US FDA regulations and standards, and has no aftertaste.


If you have used your LifeStraw, be sure to not expose to freezing temperatures - water inside can freeze and crack the filter which you might not see. The LifeStraw is not dishwasher safe - simply rinse with water and leave uncapped to dry. Do not drink pool water with the LifeStraw, it will not remove chemicals including chlorine.
