Description

Chambered for .243 Winchester rounds, this edition of the Ruger American Rifle works well for hunting varmint and small-to-medium game such as coyote, deer, and antelope. The American is light and snappy to handle and comfortable to fire; you'll be surprised at how much performance it delivers for its price point. Its trigger has an adjustable pull weight so that most users can find that "just right" setting. It also features a free-floating barrel, a soft rubber recoil pad on the butt of the stock, a 3-lug 70-degree bolt that can easily be cycled from the shoulder, and a rotary magazine that fits flush with the stock and offers smooth, consistent feeding.
